TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Street Closures for 2024 Northeast Jazz & Wine Festival and Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival

Road Closed to thru Traffic

Syracuse, N.Y.Downtown Syracuse will be hosting the Northeast Jazz & Wine Festival at the Landmark Theater and along Jefferson Street, on Friday, July 26, and Saturday, July 27 and the 2024 Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival in, and around, Columbus Circle on Friday, July 26, Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28.

The following street will be closed for the Northeast Jazz & Wine Festival from 7 a.m. Thursday, July 26 through Sunday morning, July 28:

  • 100 block of Jefferson Street, from Clinton Street to Salina Street.

The following streets will be closed for the Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival in, and around, Columbus Circle:

  • 300 and 400 blocks of Montgomery Street, from East Fayette Street to Madison Street, will be closed from 6 p.m. Thursday, July 25 through Sunday evening, July 28.
  • 200 and 300 blocks of East Jefferson Street, from South Warren Street to South State Street, will be closed from 6 p.m. Thursday, July 25 through Sunday evening, July 28.
  • 200 and 300 blocks of East Onondaga Street, from South State Street to South Warren Street, will be closed from 6 p.m. Thursday, July 25 through Sunday evening, July 28.
  • 200 block of Montgomery Street, from Washington Street to Fayette Street, will be closed from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 27.

Join us for a two-part workshop with exhibiting artist Sofía Luz Pérez and Syracuse artist Cayetano Valenzuela. In this workshop, Cayetano Valenzuela and Sofía Luz Pérez will share their own practices and processes in making a portrait/self-portrait and ask participants to create a portrait or self-portrait. The emphasis of the portrait should be on identity and cultural background/ancestry, but they encourage everyone to delve into any part of themselves or the person they are drawn to portraying. This is a free workshop with limited space available. We ask that you attend both sessions. Art supplies will be provided and you are welcome to also bring your own.
