On Monday, February 13th, 2023, at around 10:32 P.M., Officers responded to Crouse Hospital for a stabbing investigation. Upon arrival, Officers located a 24-year-old male who was stabbed in the midsection multiple times. The victim’s injuries were serious, but he is expected to survive.
A short time later, the suspect, identified by Syracuse Police as Alfred Danzy, 22, arrived at Crouse Hospital, by private transport, with a shoulder injury. Information was developed that the suspect had stabbed the victim during a dispute prior to arriving at the hospital.
The incident location was determined to be the Brighton Food Market at 204 W. Brighton Avenue. In the end, Danzy was arrested and charged with Assault in the First Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree.
