Syracuse, NY. On Saturday, December 22, 2018, at approximately 11:03pm, Syracuse Police Officers responded to a robbery investigation that occurred in the 2200 block of Onondaga Creek Blvd. Upon arrival, officers met with the 23 year old female victim, who told police she was walking down the street, when she was approached by four teenage males. The victim said one of the males pulled out a handgun, pointed it at her and demanded property. The victim reported she gave the suspects approximately $38.00 and then ran away to call police. The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.
During the investigation, police were able to identify a 16 year old male as the suspect who pointed the handgun at the victim. Officer Daniel Rathbun located the suspect at the intersection of Ballantyne Road and Empire Ave. He was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was arrested and charged with Robbery in the First Degree. He was lodged at the Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Facility.
