Syracuse Police Department Respond to Multiple Events – June 27th 2022

SPD Respond to N. McBride Street Stabbing -Monday, June 27th, 2022, at around 11:25 A.M., Officers responded to the 300 block of N. McBride Street for a stabbing call. Upon arrival, Officers located a 30-year-old male who was stabbed multiple times in the midsection and arms. The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is expected to survive. The investigation revealed that the victim was stabbed by a male suspect, Tyus Clayton, 23, of Syracuse, during a fight that took place prior to police arrival. Clayton was arrested and booked for Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree.

Shooting with Injuries on Butternut Street – Monday, June 27th, 2022, at around 2:58 P.M., Officers responded to the 800 block of Butternut Street for a shooting with injuries call. Upon arrival, Officers located a 32-year-old male who was shot in the leg. The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is expected to survive. The investigation is active and ongoing; anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5222.​​​

Baker Ave. Shooting Reported – Monday, June 27th, 2022, at around 11:41 P.M., Officers responded to Upstate Hospital for a shooting with injuries investigation. Upon arrival, Officers located a 34-year-old male, who arrived by private transport, who was shot in the arm. The victim is expected to survive. The incident location was determined to be in the 300 block of Baker Avenue just before the victim arrived at Upstate. The investigation is active and ongoing; anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5222.​​​

The emphasis of the portrait should be on identity and cultural background/ancestry, but they encourage everyone to delve into any part of themselves or the person they are drawn to portraying. This is a free workshop with limited space available. We ask that you attend both sessions. Art supplies will be provided and you are welcome to also bring your own.
