Syracuse City School District students will soon be receiving more than 300 winter clothing items as the result of a Winter Clothing Drive hosted by Armory Square businesses this holiday season.
Over the past month, Armory Square businesses including 315 Beauty Bar Downtown, AmeriCU (Armory Square), Best Western Syracuse Downtown Hotel & Suites, Bling N Thingz by Brittani, Cathy’s Cookie Kitchen, FlynnStoned Cannabis Co, Forum Barber, Galaxy Media Partners, Marisa’s Fortress of Beauty, The MOST, The Hops Spot, and Sweet on Chocolate hosted collections, where individuals could donate coats, sweatshirts, boots, gloves, hats, and more.
As a thank you for participating in the drive, those who contributed received a stamp card to use at select Armory Square businesses this winter. Community members who donated to the drive can redeem their stamp cards through the end of January 2024. Businesses offering discounts via the stamp card include:
- 315 Beauty Bar – $10 off a service
- Best Western Syracuse Downtown Hotel & Suites – 10% off nightly rate for stays through 1/31/24
- Bling N Thingz By Brittani – 15% off a purchase
- Cathy’s Cookie Kitchen – 1 Free Cookie
- FlynnStoned Cannabis Co – One free grinder with purchase
- Forum Barber – $10 off a service
- GILDED CLUB – BOGO beverage
- Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub & Restaurant – One free draft beverage with purchase
- The MOST – BOGO admission
- Pasta’s Daily Bread – $1 Stretch Bread Loaf
- Sweet on Chocolate – 20% off a purchase of $10 or more
- The Hops Spot/Tallman Cocktail Club – 50% off an appetizer
