On Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, at around 10:10 A.M., Officers responded to Upstate Hospital for a stabbing investigation. Upon arrival, Officers located Genghis Muhammed, 43, who was stabbed multiple times. Muhammed is expected to survive. The stabbing location was determined to be in the 500 block of S. Salina Street before police arrival at the hospital.
During the interaction with Muhammed at the hospital, it was discovered that he was in possession of numerous amounts of illegal drugs. As a result, Muhammed was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.
