Syracuse, N.Y. – March is here and it’s time for some madness!
The Syracuse women’s basketball team punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament on Sunday night. The Orange earned the No. 6 seed in the Portland 3 Regional and will travel to Gample Pavilion to face the winner of 11-seed Auburn/11-seed Arizona in the first round in Storrs, CT.
This year’s at-large bid marks the 13th invitation to the NCAA Tournament in program history and first bid since 2021. Syracuse head coach Felisha Legette-Jack, the ACC Coach of the Year, has guided Syracuse to a 23-7 record and returned the Orange to the national spotlight in just her second season on the hill. ‘Cuse is currently ranked No. 22 in the Associated Press (AP) Top-25 and has been ranked every week since Week 9.
Syracuse is 10-12 all-time in the NCAA Tournament and is a 6-seed for the third time. In 2016, Syracuse earned a 4-seed and hosted the first two rounds en route to a historical run to the NCAA Championship game where the Orange lost to former BIG EAST rival, UConn. The Orange have advanced to the second round in each of its last two appearances, 2021 and 2019.

Portrait Workshop with Sofía Luz Pérez and Cayetano Valenzuela
ArtRage 505 Hawley Avenue, SyracuseJoin us for a two-part workshop with exhibiting artist Sofía Luz Pérez and Syracuse artist Cayetano Valenzuela. In this workshop, Cayetano Valenzuela and Sofía Luz Pérez will share their own practices and processes in making a portrait/self-portrait and ask participants to create a portrait or self-portrait. The emphasis of the portrait should be on identity and cultural background/ancestry, but they encourage everyone to delve into any part of themselves or the person they are drawn to portraying. This is a free workshop with limited space available. We ask that you attend both sessions. Art supplies will be provided and you are welcome to also bring your own.
