Advertisement For Bids Notice To Contractors Sidney B. Coulter Library Tank Replacement
Contract 1- General Onondaga County Bid Reference No. Ongov-106-24
Sealed bids for the construction of Sidney B. Coulter Tank Replacement, located at 4585 West Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse New York 13215 will be received at the office of the Onondaga County Purchasing Director, 13th floor, John H. Mulroy Civic Center, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse New York, until 2:00 PM Local Time, on August 27, 2024, and there at said office, at said time, publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be on a lump sum basis.
The project will consist of the removal of the existing underground diesel tank that is supplying the emergency generator at Sidney B. Coulter Library building. There will be a new above ground diesel tank to be installed in close proximity to the existing tank, upon a new concrete pad, that should include protective bollards and decorative privacy fencing.

Pre-bid Walkthrough will be held at the address location, Sidney B. Coulter Library in Parking Lot 18 on July 30th at 11AM to review the specific requirements for this project and the tank locations. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.

Bidders are informed that this project is being progressed by the Onondaga Community College Facilities Department. This project is subject to NYS prevailing wage. Contractor to provide the following: MWBE Utilization plan, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Policy Statement, Workforce Employment Utilization Report, Apprenticeship Program, and Minority and Women Business Enterprise Utilization Goals: MBE Utilization Goal of 18% and WBE Utilization Goal of 12%.
Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security Deposit in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid Security must be in the form of a bid bond or certified bank check, made payable to The County of Onondaga.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any bid informalities or to reject any or all bids.
