Miner: Looking Forward to Delivering this Address about Renewing the Promise of Syracuse
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Mayor Stephanie A. Miner announced today she will deliver her annual State of the City message on Thursday, January 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown, 100 East Onondaga Street in Syracuse.
“The Marriott Syracuse Downtown is an historic icon in the heart of our City which has recently undergone a truly remarkable transformation – a story that is emblematic of the work we have undertaken renewing the promise of Syracuse,” said Syracuse Mayor Stephanie A. Miner. “I look forward to delivering this important address at the historic Hotel Syracuse and sharing my vision for our community next week.”

The public is invited to enjoy a community reception in the lobby of the Hotel beginning at 5:30 p.m. The formal program will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Persian Terrace. American Sign Language interpretation will be available during the program.
In 2016, the Marriott Syracuse Downtown reopened after a lengthy renovation. Under the leadership of Ed Riley and his team, the historic Hotel Syracuse was brought back into productive use after a significant investment. The Syracuse Industrial Development Agency supported the project through financing assistance and the Hotel team has held a commitment to creating jobs for City residents, both during construction and after the opening of the project.
