Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh, Syracuse Police Chief Kenton Buckner, Syracuse Police Director of Community Engagement Jimmy Oliver, and Danny Liedka of Visit Syracuse will host a baseball/softball clinic as part of the US Conference of Mayor’s #PlayBall Initiative.
The clinic will be run by Syracuse Police Athletic/Activities League’s and community volunteers for children ages 6 through 13. The US Conference of Mayors #PlayBall initiative is a partnership with Major League Baseball calling for mayors across the country to activate their city parks and playlots and engage youth in the game of baseball and softball.
Syracuse Police Athletic/Activities Leagues is a youth development program that brings youth and cops together in a non-law enforcement setting.
