Ad Highlights Klee Hood’s Choice to Access Abortion Care While Serving in the Air Force
Syracuse, NY– On May 21st, Sarah Klee Hood, Democrat for Congress in NY-22, released her first TV advertisement of the cycle titled “Our Choice.” The 30-second ad highlights Klee Hood’s personal experience of receiving abortion care while she was serving our country in the Air Force and why it has motivated her campaign for Congress.
“I don’t need staffers to hand me talking points to remind me of what’s at stake in this election – I had to access abortion care when I was in the Air Force, without insurance coverage or medical leave for the procedure. In Congress, I will fight like hell to ensure women, girls and families have access to abortion care, and I won’t let extreme Republicans take away our freedoms,” said Klee Hood. “I hope that by sharing my own story, the many Central New Yorkers who have accessed abortion care know that they are not alone.”

When the Supreme Court overturned Roe, I was devastated. And I know about devastation. Because when my husband and I were in the Air Force and pregnant, we received devastating news, and I chose abortion care. Extreme Republicans will bring a national abortion ban to New York.
