Community Folk Art Center is excited for another year of their highly anticipated annual Caribbean Cinematic Film Festival! Featuring compelling artistic exploration into Caribbean culture though film, dance, spoken word, discussion, and food. The four day festival will be opened on Wednesday, February 5th by acclaimed actor and model Jimmy Jean-Louis, who is known for his role as The Haitian on the popular NBC television series Heroes. Over the course of the festival, CFAC also enjoy post screening discussions with a variety of guests, including award winning filmmaker Bruce Paddington, celebrated cinematographer Joshua Alafia, Miami based curator Babacar M’bow, author Carole Boyce Davies, and many more. CFAC also be hosting performances from Jamaican spoken word artist and dub poet Ras Henry Howard and Syracuse University dance troupe Kalabash. The schedule for the events are as follows:
