Homicide Investigation on South Salina Street Victim Identified

On Tuesday, August 13th, around 11:59 p.m., Syracuse Police Officers responded to the 4100 block of South Salina Street in regards to a shooting with injury complaint.  Prior to Officers arriving at the scene, a 25-year-old male now identified as 25-year-old Matthew Freeman was transported by private vehicle to St. Joseph’s Hospital. Freeman was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the abdomen and the shoulder. SPD: Shots Fired at School Bus on Highland Street

On Wednesday, August 14th, around 2:18 p.m., Syracuse Police Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 400 block of Highland Street.
