On Monday, February 6th, 2023, at around 8:38 P.M., Officers responded to the food court in the Destiny USA mall for an assault complaint. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the victim, a 19-year-old male mall security guard.
The victim relayed that he was attacked by an adult male, and a group of juveniles while asking the group to leave the food court. The main suspect who struck the security guard was located and identified as Strauthmeek Hosea, 18. Hosea is accused of hitting the victim in the face causing a laceration.
The victim was transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is expected to survive. In the end, Hosea was charged with Assault in the Third Degree and released on an appearance ticket.
