Notice To Contractors for Convention Center Security Entrance Onondaga County Bid Reference No. ONGOV-137-23

Sealed bids for the construction of the Convention Center Ground Floor Security Entrance located on 800 S. State St, Syracuse, NY 13202 will be received at the office of the Onondaga County Purchasing Director, 13th floor, John H. Mulroy Civic Center, 421 Montgomery Street, Syracuse, New York, until 2:00 PM Local Time, on November 9, 2023, and there at said office, at said time, publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be on a lump sum basis.

ASM is renovating the Security Entrance of the Convention Center. The scope of work includes minor demolition, replacement of two interior windows, replacement of ceiling tiles, drywall in-fill, electrical and telecommunication for new system furniture, painting, and general cleaning.

The project is divided into two phases. Phase One consists of the main corridors, room 3400 and 3500 (966 SF.) Phase Two consists of the offices and toilet rooms, room 3501,3502,3504,3505, and 3602 (927 SF.) All data to be installed and patched to the Telephone Closet room 3400A.

Pre-bid meeting will be held in Department of Facilities Management conference room, 421 Montgomery Street, Basement, Suite 40, on October 24, 2023 at 11:00AM to review the specific requirements of this project. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.

Bidders are informed that this project is being progressed by the Onondaga County Dept. of Facilities Management. This project will be subject to NYS prevailing wage. Contractor to provide the following: MWBE Utilization plan, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Policy Statement, Workforce Employment Utilization Report, Apprenticeship Program, and Minority and Women Business Enterprise Utilization Goals: MBE Utilization Goal of 18% and WBE Utilization Goal of 12%.

Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security Deposit in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid security must be in the form of a bid bond or certified/ bank check, made payable to The County of Onondaga. Bids with inadequate bid security will be declared informal.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any bid informalities or to reject any or all bids.
