On Monday, April 29th, around 8:28 p.m., Syracuse Police Officers responded to a shotspotter activation in the 100 block of Newell Street. When they arrived, they found numerous casings and an 18-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
The male was transported to Upstate Hospital and is expected to survive.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Syracuse Police Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.
