Syracuse University’s Buy Local efforts are designed to introduce local business enterprises – including those owned by women, minorities, veterans, and others (XBEs) – to the kinds of goods and services used by campus departments.
- Local business owners and operators: Ask University representatives how your goods or services can meet the needs of campus purchasers.
- Meet the Campus Buying Team: The Purchasing Office guides and supports the University’s ongoing commitment to encouraging business opportunities and diversity among its suppliers. Through this effort, we open doors in University departments and work to create opportunities for local, minority, women, veteran, and LGBTQ-owned businesses through goods and services we purchase.
- The goal of the annual Vendor Fair is to provide a resource for the University community to locate and establish relationships with small and disadvantaged and local businesses and to assure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations for sponsored fund reporting.
