DIY Papel Picado Banners

Papel picado, a traditional paper craft, is one of the most celebrated decorations in Mexican culture. In Mexico, people create papel picado banners in observance of holidays and other special occasions; in the U.S., these perforated paper banners have become a modern trend at weddings and birthday parties. Join us and create a papel picado banner of your own. Advanced registration is appreciated, as materials will be provided. Open to all levels of craft enthusiasts. For ages 18 and up.

Annually, the Imagination Foundation sponsors a Global Cardboard Challenge to celebrate children’s creativity. Kids all over the world are invited to use their imaginations to build something out of cardboard and recycled materials.  Mundy Branch will be joining the Challenge this year and will supply all necessary materials.  Just bring your imagination!  For ages 8-14.
