The Wisdom Keeper event is the annual fundraiser for FOCUS Greater Syracuse, an independent, non-partisan, not-for-profit civic engagement organization that for more than 20 years has brought together people with ideas to create a better community.
The work includes free public forums on vital topics, the national award-winning program Citizens Academy, dedicated work groups, and community conversations. Wisdom Keepers show leadership, continual caring and understanding of the importance of vision for tomorrow.
This year, FOCUS Greater Syracuse will honor three exceptional community leaders:
- Honorable Van Robinson, Former President, Syracuse Common Council
- Linda-Brown Robinson, Immediate Past President, Syracuse NAACP
- Merike Treier, Executive Director, Downtown Committee of Syracuse
