Marzocchi will exhibit her various artwork. The Rosamond Gifford Zoo presents an exciting hands-on literacy series featuring live animal visitors, touchable animal artifacts, refreshments and lots of silly zoo fun. The program builds on the Imagination Library Project that is geared toward children from birth to age 5 and their parents.

Live zoo animals will visit the library with an educator from the Rosamond Gifford Zoo at Burnet Park.  Fascinating facts and close-up views of the creatures will be featured.  Which animals will be coming to the library is kept a secret. HSE Classes (formerly GED Classes)

The GED test has been replaced by the TASC test as a way to the NYS High School Equivalency diploma. Free classes are offered at the library to help prepare for this exam and get a diploma. Registration is required.  Contact the Family Welcome Center at Grant Middle School, 240 Grant Blvd., Room 356 or call 435-6376 to get started on your new future.

 

Adult English Language Conversation Group

English language learners can practice speaking English at this free drop-in conversation group that is designed to provide an opportunity to speak in an informal, relaxed atmosphere. Individuals are welcome to attend whenever they can. No registration is necessary for this free program.
