On Tuesday, May 28, at 7:30 a.m. Syracuse healthcare advocates with the Campaign for New York Health, met at Destiny USA to embark on a bus trip to Albany for the first joint Assembly and Senate public hearing on the New York Health Act [A.5248, S.3577]. The New York Health Act would establish a universal, single-payer healthcare program in New York State that would guaranteed comprehensive healthcare to all New York residents
The Campaign for New York Health is a 501c4 organization dedicated to passing and implementing legislation for universal single-payer healthcare in New York State. The Campaign for New York Health brings together over 150 organizations representing community groups, labor unions, seniors, people with disabilities, nurses, teachers, patients, doctors, business leaders, faith groups, immigrants, and healthcare advocates committed to the right to healthcare.
