35 Downtown Businesses Decorate in the Spirit of the Season
Syracuse, NY – After a record 6068 votes were tallied (compared to last year’s 5,510), the favorite window displays in the Downtown Committee of Syracuse, Inc.’s eighth annual holiday window-decorating contest have been decided!
- Onondaga County Central Library, located at 447 S. Salina Street (map), came in first place ($500) with a beautiful display of a majestic winter landscape!
- Soup R Salads, located at 308 S. Warren Street (map), earned second-place ($250) in this year’s contest. The window display features a Nightmare Before Christmas theme with Halloween and Christmas combined!
- Black Citizens Brigade, located at 40 Bank Alley (map), came in third place ($100) with a stunning display of white oak trees filled with bright red cardinals.
The Window Wonderland Contest was designed to boost holiday spirit, entertain visitors, and attract new customers to experience Downtown’s variety of retail, restaurant and cultural offerings.
