SPD Responds to Stabbing Incidents

The Syracuse Police Department responds to stabbings in neighborhoods South State Street/East Fayette Street: On Friday, August 23rd, around 2:03 p.m., Syracuse Police Officers responded to the intersection of South State Street and East Fayette Street for a report of a stabbing. When they arrived, Officers found an adult male suffering from a minor puncture wound to his lower right back. The victim refused transport to the hospital. South Salina Street: On Friday, August 23rd, around 2:39 p.m., Syracuse Police Officers responded to the 600 block of South Salina Street for a report of a stabbing. When they arrived, Officers found an adult male in his 50’s suffering from an apparent stab wound to his neck. The victim was transported to Upstate University Hospital. His injuries are considered non life-threatening.  Investigations into both of these incidents are active and ongoing. Preliminary investigations indicate that there does not appear to be a connection between these two incidents.  Anyone with information on either of these incidents should call the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.  Image by PublicDomainPictures from Pixabay
