Henninger High School Welcomes Police Officer and Henninger Alumni Brandon Hanks as New Head Basketball Coach

The Syracuse City School District is pleased to announce Officer Brandon Hanks as the new head coach of the Henninger High School boys basketball team. Officer Hanks, who has served as a member of the Syracuse Police Department, brings a unique blend of law enforcement experience, community outreach and passion for basketball to the role. With a strong commitment to both his community and the development of young athletes, Officer Hanks is excited to make a significant impact as the new basketball coach. “Coach Hanks has a passion for basketball but more importantly he is passionate about helping our SCSD students become great citizens. With Coach Hanks leadership, we look forward to many of our Henninger basketball players going on to compete in collegiate athletics after they graduate,” said Director of Athletics, Jesse Long. Coach Hanks has worked on the staff at Henninger the last few seasons and with the basketball team. His presence as a member of the local law enforcement community also serves as an inspiration to the students, reinforcing the values of community involvement and leadership. Our SCSD community eagerly anticipates the positive impact Coach Hanks will have on the basketball program and looks forward to a successful and inspiring season under his leadership.
