Shooting With Injuries on Croton Terrace

On Thursday, November 9th, 2023, at around 7:27 P.M., Officers responded to the 100 block of Croton Terrace for a shots fired call. Upon arrival, Officers located a 37-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the leg and a 45-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Both victims were transported to Upstate Hospital and are expected to survive.  An examination of the scene revealed evidence of shots fired, and several casings were located. A residence in the 400 block of Oakwood Avenue was also found to have been struck by gunfire.  As the investigation progressed, information was developed that the suspect(s) in this case entered 1309 S. State Street after the shooting. Officers quickly surrounded the house, and several people of interest were eventually detained. At this point, no arrests have been made.  The investigation is active and ongoing. Firefighters Respond to Fire in Vacant South Geddes Street Home

On Sunday, November 4th 2023 at approximately 3:77 a.m. the Syracuse Police Department received a report of a stabbing at 2005 East Fayette Street, the Parkside Commons Apartment complex.  Responding units arrived and located a 27-year-old male who presented with a stab wound to the arm.  The victim was listed as being in stable condition and his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.   These investigations are active and ongoing, and anyone with information is strongly encouraged to call the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222. Two Overnight Stabbings

Valley Plaza area Stabbing – Sunday, November 4th 2023 at around 2:25 a.m. officers with the Syracuse Police Department responded to University Hospital, located at 750 East Adams Street, for the reported arrival of a stabbing victim.  Upon arrival, the police officers located a 34-year-old male, who was being treated for laceration to his head, as a result of being stabbed.  The victim reported that he was stabbed by a male after leaving a bar near Valley Plaza.
