Syracuse Police Respond to Butternut Street Stabbing

On Thursday, April 13th, 2023, at around 12:14 A.M., Officers responded to St. Joseph’s Hospital for a stabbing investigation.  Upon arrival, Officers located a 33-year-old male who was stabbed in the chest.  The victim was transferred to Upstate Hospital and is expected to survive.  The incident location was determined to be in the 800 block of Butternut Street.  The investigation is active and ongoing; anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at (315) 442-5222.

Accepting Funding Applications: 2023-24 UNSAAC Grant

The Department of Neighborhood and Business Development (NBD) is pleased to release the UNSAAC Grant application for fiscal year 2023-2024. Eligible non-profit organizations are invited to apply for funding for neighborhood programs, projects or services that promote preservation and improvement of housing, community support, or park and public space improvements within the University Neighborhood service agreement borders.  The applicant must be a 501(c)(3) organization or have a fiscal sponsor with 501(c)(3) tax status that will apply for and receive funds on the program’s behalf.
