Onondaga County 16th Redistricting Meeting June 9th 5:30pm Beauchamp Library

The NYCLU and 16th district County Legislature Charles Garland will be hosting a hybrid meeting on redistricting of the 16th ward.   Residents are encouraged to join this meeting,  June 9th at 5:30 p.m. Participate by either joining online via Zoom (see below for link) or in person at Beauchamp Branch library, 2111 South Salina Street, Syracuse, New York 13205 2nd floor meeting room. Guest presenter is the New York Civil Liberties Union Voting Rights Attorney Perry Grossman. Topic of discussion; the new maps that have changed the composition of the Majority Black District, the 16th ward and how that impacts our elected representation. Also, the new voting rights act that recently passed in New York.
