It’s a Syracuse Summer! 47th Annual Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival 2017 and The Northeast Jazz & Wine Festival!
Since the first Jazz Fest 35 years ago, Syracuse has established itself as a City of Festivals. Choose any given weekend during our summer months and you’ll our main square transformed into a gathering place for the region. Activities include music, food and cultural celebrations, all in the heart of Syracuse. As the snow melts our Ice Skating rink is turned into a series of fountains delivering a dazzling dancing water display. This is the same spot that once held waters from the Erie Canal as it made its way through downtown Syracuse. Come the weekend the fountains are turned off and the festivals begin. More events hit Clinton Square and beyond as we welcome new festivals such as a Taste of Sanakofa, taking place on South Salina Street’s Neighborhood Business District. Returning with the summer sun is Syracuse’s City Market will continue to take place outdoors in their new location Everson Museum of Art’s lovely plaza. 47th Annual Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival 2017 Friday July 28 Thru Sunday July 30 This spectacular 3-day showcase of the country’s most talented artists, craftspeople and entertainers is centered on historic Columbus Circle in downtown Syracuse. The show features more than 160 artists representing 25 states and Canada. More than 50,000 visitors will shop and browse among the art and craft exhibits and enjoy a wide variety of music, multi-cultural performances, summer refreshments, and participatory activities. The festival is one of the premier events of ArtsWeek.
